Aspiring Home Buyers

We are committed to helping aspiring UK home buyers get on the property ladder.

The structure is simple: a tenant rents one of our houses for a set period of time (usually 5-7 years) and during that time they pay a small amount more in rent per month. This allows the tenant to build up the deposit needed to purchase the home when the tenancy period ends.

We currently have 2 and 3 bedroom properties available for Rent to Own throughout Wales and England.

Gavin Swinburne


Gavin is the founder of Property V Group. He is responsible for property acquisition and overall portfolio management. Gavin has been developing properties since 2004 and most recently has been buying, refurbishing and renting homes in the Welsh Valleys. For 13 years prior to this he was an equity derivatives trader at Salomon Brothers and Sumitomo Bank Capital Markets and a hedge fund manager. Gavin brings extensive Property Development knowledge, contacts and experience to this business together with a background in financial risk management. Gavin has a first class honours degree in physics and a Ph.D. in physics from King’s College London.

Rachel Nelson


Rachel is responsible for operations at Property V Group, including overseeing development projects, managing rental properties and maintaining partner relationships. She has worked with Gavin since 2017. Prior to that she spent 15 years in financial services product management at Merrill Lynch, GE Capital, and American Express before leaving to join a Boston-based start-up in marketing and then work more recently as an independent consultant. Rachel has an A.B from Harvard College (cum laude) and an MBA in marketing & management from The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania).

Liz Barrett


Liz started working with Property V Group in 2019 and promptly made herself indispensable. She manages all things related to accounts, finances and bookkeeping. Liz previously worked at Crowe UK as an accountant, as well as at Quintech computer systems doing Sage 50, Sage 200 and SAP B1 accounts software consultancy, as well as business process review and accounts preparation. She has BA Hons in business management with finance management and is full member Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
